EU-Funded projects ALTERNATIVE & LifeSaver Workshop
On 23rd Oct 2024, the EU-funded ALTERNATIVE project organized a workshop on “Regulatory Innovation and Health Safety”with its sister project: LifeSaver. Both the projects presented their ongoing work in the project while the discussions evolved around:
- Regulatory and Technological Innovation: How do your projects integrate technological innovations to contribute to regulatory advancements and enhance healthcare safety?
- Impact on Health Policies: How do you foresee the findings from your projects influencing future health policies and practices?
- Collaborative Opportunities: What opportunities exist for collaboration between your projects to further improve health safety?
This workshop was well attended by 35 participants from diverse backgrounds who engaged with the speakers and here are the Key Highlights from the Workshop:
🔹 Advancing drug safety: Exploring drug usage, dosage, concentration, and human exposure—including special considerations for pregnant women.
🔹 Regulatory innovation: Clinical assessments for medical products, pharma products, medical devices, and health tech assessment protocols.
🔹 Food safety: Validating models for food supplements and related safety concerns.
🔹 Sponsorship priorities: Insights into bringing drugs to clinical trials and defining what matters most.
